“Ikenga” can refer to a few things within Igbo Cosmology: symbolic statue, metaphorical vessel, or a deity. As a deity, Ikenga is known as the god of time, success and achievement. With his two faces, each of the faces pointed in different directions. One face examines the past, and the other looks towards the future. In a similar way, Ikenga Wines strives to look toward the past for inspiration to lead us into the future.
In this artwork, Ikenga takes a rest and enjoys some wine that was offered to him.
